A journey of commitment and leadership
Al Baraka Bank was founded on 15 June 1983 under the name "Beit Ettamwil Tounsi Saoudi", by the Tunisian State and Sheikh Salah Abdallah Kamel, founder of the Dallah Al Baraka Group. In 2009, the bank changed its name to Al Baraka Bank Tunisia, as part of the unification of Al Baraka Group B.S.C (c)'s identity.
In 2013, the bank reached a historic milestone by becoming a resident universal bank, deploying a modern branch network to serve a steadily growing customer base of individuals, professionals, Tunisians residing abroad, and national and international companies.

Founding of Beit Ettamwil Tounsi Saoudi
Al Baraka Bank was founded on 15 June 1983 under the name "Beit Ettamwil Tounsi Saoudi - BEST Bank", by the Tunisian State and Sheikh Salah Abdallah Kamel, founder of the Dallah Al Baraka Group.
Rebranding to Al Baraka Bank
Change of name to Al Baraka Bank Tunisia, as part of the unification of Al Baraka Group B.S.C (c)'s identity, alongside a first extension of activity in August 2009 enabling financing for local companies regardless of sector.
Conversion into a Resident Universal Bank
Obtained approval to convert from a non-resident bank into a resident universal bank, enabling it to meet the financial needs of all customer categories: individuals, professionals and businesses.
Best Islamic Bank in Tunisia
Al Baraka Bank was voted best Islamic bank in Tunisia in 2018, 2019 and 2021, by "Global Finance" and "Islamic Finance News" magazines.
Recognition with 5 IFN Awards
